Paul Caunter, your NZ local host has a passion for the travel industry which has been built over a number of decades. Back in 1984, he was first employed by the global, travel leaders, Thomas Cook. He trained and learnt the profession, from the best in the industry, at the time. For instance, commencing the journey in Retail and then moving to Business Travel. Subsequently, four years later he left to manage a small, retail shop, in a country village called Olney. Paul ran the agency for a successful, local family that also owned a large coach/bus fleet, car dealership and vehicle servicing garage.
Due to the success, the owner then acquired 3 other retail shops and therefore, Paul then became the GM (see link reference below). After that, he then left to start his own travel business. Milton Keynes Flight Centre, specialising in Airfares and last minute holidays to Europe. The Gemini Agency then purchased the company, offering travel retail services to its music & entertainment customers. Later, Paul became the Business Travel Manager, responsible for winning new customer business, contracting, supplier negotiations & liaisons, net-fare agreements and personally looking after selective top VIPs and CEOs. The agency was the only business travel specialists in the Midlands area to have special a net-fare agreement with AIR NEW ZEALAND. SGP Racing had their wind tunnel in LA. The company certainly took advantage of discounted fares in First and Business Class whilst also benefiting from heavily discounted economy fares that had no-min stay rules.

A recent 2019 Event Management Graduate from Auckland University of Technology. Who, over the years has studied Bachelor of Business majoring in Management & Marketing, then switching to a Bachelor of Arts Majoring in Event Management.
As a student, Ella knew she needed to kickstart her career swiftly into the Events industry, due to the competition within the industry. Firstly, as a year 2 Events Student Ella worked for the Westpac Helicopter Trust helping with their fundraising events. She did this on a part-time basis over their busy periods, whilst she was studying.
Towards the end of her degree, Ella needed a placement (work experience) to complete the degree. Therefore, she was employed on a one day a week basis with TourismHQ. TourismHQ specialises in providing unforgettable experiences to their guests in the Pacific Islands. Similarly, this also included events in New Zealand. Once Ella had Graduated she was employed on a full-time contract in the role of ‘Head of Customer Experience.’ This role undertook many tasks and responsibilities within the company. As a result, her role included customer service, communications, marketing, organisation and planning.
